3. Book reception site or caterer
4. Book photographer, videographer and florist
5. Book hair and makeup specialists
6. Book band for reception
7. Book music for church
8. Book site for rehearsal dinner; select menu, wine, flowers, linen etc
9. Arrange transportation for wedding guests
10. Reserve hotel room for wedding night
11. Plan honeymoon and make reservations as necessary
12. Send "Save-the-Date" Cards, detailing lodging, transportation, activities etc.
Four Months Ahead
1. Select invitations, place cards, thank you notes and place order
2. Contact calligrapher, deliver envelopes when ready
3. Arrange printing of ceremony program
4. Register for wedding gifts
5. Order and purchase rings
6. Shop for going away outfits
7. Select attendants gifts
Two Months Ahead
1. Send invitations, make list for responses
2. Road test hair and make up artists
3. Select gifts for bride and groom to give each other
One Month Ahead
1. Send thank you notes as gifts arrive
2. Send wedding announcements to home town newspapers and alumni publications
3. Obtain marriage license
Two Weeks Ahead
1. Create seating chart for reception, order place cards
2. Final fitting for wedding dress and shoes
3. Start to write speeches or toasts
4. Finalize all details for menu and timing with caterer
5. Reconfirm flower order
